The time has come for BCFCU to hold our 68th annual meeting of the membership.  This year’s meeting will be held on Tuesday, May 14thth, 2024 at 6:30PM.  Once again, we will be holding the meeting in the auditorium of Taylor County Middle School.  BCFCU continues to grow and we have some exciting new improvements to tell you about!  We will continue to update our website with meeting information as the date draws near.  We will also publish our Annual Meeting Program on our website the day of the meeting for you to view.  Please mark your calendars for this event and we hope you make plans to join us this year!

While our Annual Meeting is full of important information about the financial strength and direction BCFCU is heading, another very important part of each year’s meeting is the selection of our Board of Directors.  Each year there are seats on the board that either come open or are up for re-election to a three-year term.  This year, two board members are up for re-election and have agreed to continue serving, if elected.  Any candidate seeking nomination should contact the credit union by April 12th, 2024, to be considered by the nominating committee.  The two board members who have been nominated for re-election are listed with a short bio in this announcement.  Please contact either Cynthia Nowlin or Rob Hilley with any questions related to nominating a candidate at 850-223-7100.

MEET THE CANDIDATES

Randy Hearne – As an employee/founder of Premier Medical Clinic for the past 24 years, it has been my pleasure to be part of this community and serve as a medical liaison to many of you and your families during that time.  I, along with my wife Jackie Sue, have used our credit union in a myriad of capacities for many years and have always been treated with the utmost respect and care by the staff.  It is my desire to continue serving our special and unique organization by seeking reelection to the Board of Directors and continue to serve you, our members.

Bob Lilliott – I retired from Buckeye 17 years ago.  I also retired as a deputy from the Taylor County Sheriff’s Office in June 2009, after working with them in either a part-time or full-time capacity since 1976.  I continue to serve as a Reserve Officer.  I am an active member of New Home Baptist Church.  As the past Chairman and having served on the Supervisory Committee for over twenty-five years, I understand the daily operations of a community-minded credit union.  As a member of the Board of Directors for the past 15 years, I have enjoyed working to help the credit union grow in many ways and would be honored to continue working for all members.
